Hello everyone in Singapore.
Here's a short update on my status in Brisbane.
Touched down on Wednesday to feel the excessively warmest air I've felt in a long time.. The hottest was abt 35-36 degrees celsius... And I've been turning on the air con every now and then.. Weather's not entirely perfect and I'm beginning to miss the rain back in SG. But thank God at least it's still bearable. :P
Year 2's gonna be much tougher than Year 1 where we not only need to remember the Year 1 stuff and apply them in year 2, and also additional assignments and change in exam format. Missed the 14th and 15th Jan orientation so i need to do an additional assignment. Hope it's not a killer report. haha. Having said that, Year 2's gonna be exciting.. Greater workload means greater growth. More modules like pathology and autopsy symposiums... Very interesting!
Feels good to return to Life group. The buddies are not back from Singapore and Malaysia yet.. So it feels quite vacant.. Jealous you peeps get to spend CNY back home.. haha.. But I know we'll have a good time in Brisbane celebrating our own kind of CNY. =)
Have to be reminded of why I'm here in this beautiful land. To study hard and grow spiritually. Year 2 might be and I hope the final year in Brisbane. That means doing my 3rd and 4th year in Singapore. There's sth that's drawing my heart back to SG which I cant tell exactly. Pls pray for Jun, you blog-readers and prayer warriors abt this... Thank you.
Some perks in doing that.. Relieved of the hefty expenses, rent and even tuition fees in UQ, settle down in church in SG, better and earlier familiarisation of the hospital setting in Singapore.. The leaders, however, encouraged me to stay for at least 6 months in Brisbane for Year 3 to max out the experience. Opinions and encouragements... But God already has it all planned out.. Gotta seek God's kingdom first.. And all these "things" will be given as well.
Who knows.. I might do missionary work in future.. Cambodia, India, South Africa draws me heart there.. (Short organised trips during the vacation!) But first provide for my parents and future family... Missionary work would be the ideal retirement plan. God's timing....
Sincerely yours,
Jun!
