First Clinical Visit

Yes, just came back from our first clinical visit which was really fun.. We met a patient who has all these diseases (not supposed to disclose the exact disease or name cos of patient confidentiality. Yes, talk about ethics and the law. :) ) and half the time i couldnt understand him cos of the Aussie lingo maybe. haha..

We had a chance to take his BP. I took 180 / 100 mmHg which is very high btw.. Anw, it feels good to take a BP which is different from the normal "you-take-me, I-take-you" readings.. Makes you feel like wanna be a houseman straight away.

Looked at the Jugular Venous Pressure as well. Nice. :)

A truly great experience walking about the ward and interviewing patients like that. Made me reminisce that time when I was a patient myself and happily inviting trainee doctors to take my med history. Strangely, I felt sorry for those doctors who were being shoo-ed off by so many patients. And now, I'm reaping the reward. =)

I think I'm enjoying what I'm doing thus far. which is good.

Last 4 weeks on Reproductive system which I switched off totally.. Maybe it's a sign I'm not meant to be a gynaecologist. hehe... Sorry *juan.. Wrong prophesy.. haha..
This week, we're onto Leukaemia. And I'm all ready to discuss about it tmr.. Get to share about my personal experience. Lovely..
Looks like we're getting onto the cancer weeks and I wonder why I'm starting to get interested all again. Oncologist maybe?? =)
