Time flies.. It's been more than a year since the last Oceania Convention in Melbourne. God moved mightily and blessed us all, and we are believing for a greater encounter with Him this coming weekend. :)
Today is a special day (Well, every day ought to be so, cos' each day is a gift from God.). Slept off the afternoon to wean off the past week's sleep deficit. But that left me with a night full of energy!
It was 12 midnight and I decided to walk to the nearby Macdonald's with a book in-hand.
The bible describes King David as a "man after God's own heart." These words impressed upon me during the Perth Mission Trip when *PC prophesised. And I truly wannna have this heart for God in all circumstances so as to be used by Him. In all things, give thanks. In all things, praise Him. All things! Love Him and His people.
These few days, the Lord has reminded me of these words time and again. For God is interested most of all in the condition of your heart.
*PB too, reminded me to have a broken and contrite heart. At that time, I knew naught of the meaning of the word, "contrite" and began searching for the verse. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit." In essence, a heart that is not hardened and rebellious. Without brokenness, we become indifferent to God and to the needs of others. A proud heart exalts self and promotes independence from God. This is sin.
Psalm 51:16-13 says, " The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart. These, O God, You will not despise."
As I prayed the prayer in Psalm 51, the music which I was listening to changed immediately to the song "Joy to the World". It dawned on me that the Lord has heard my prayer! and He's responded!
Thank you Lord!
