Just today, I got to interview 4 patients of his. Didnt expect to take 4 patients just like that. Feels just like a GP now. It came first as a shock as he gave me patient after another. Each patient was met with "Hmm.. what if I dont know much about how to manage and treat him or her? Wouldnt I be undermining his reputation? Would I be looked down on?" But as it turned out, Move with the Holy Spirit! Plucked up courage and tackled them one by one.:)
The result was I made blunders here and there. But when I answered correctly, he remarked with an encouraging "Good!" and "I would agree!" And when the answers were obviously wrong or oh-not-so-close, his response would be "That's very close, but..." or "That's a good guess, but let's track back to first principles and....." Such great learning environment isnt it?
Very encouraging and humble man is he, Dr Kris Hannon. And I just got to know that he came in top! in the RACGP exam. How cool is that.. Learning from the very best in Queensland and possibly Australia! omg Thank you Lord!
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Have faith and press on! God, me and patient! He is the ultimate healer, and I his instrument. With Him, everything is possible.:)
