Cannula 1

Just did a cannulation (insertion of IV tube into the wrist vein) on a my first patient who's suffering from Acopia at the moment. which means she cant communicate with the outside world for now. She's not coping well.

Anw, it went quite smooth and i was quite excited by the fact that it went in with the first attempt. God that was awesome. But the "flushing" part made me worried cos I realised there was a certain amount of air that I had flushed into her vein before the saline solution went in. Now that could cause an air embolism in her lungs if that amount of air is significant enough. More so for a frail body like hers. Worst of all, she cant complain of chest pain, if there's any if pulmonary embolism sets in. I hope I have not killed her.

God save her.
