Matthew 6:25 Do Not Worry

This is a sermon by Pastor William Sam from my church back home, Aldersgate Methodist Church.

Felt as if God is speaking to me. It all makes sense cos worrying doesnt achieve anything but takes your time away. For all you know, it might and could surely be one of the many scheming ways of Satan. I feel, worrying gives Satan a chance to further deceive you with unwholesome thoughts and the untruths.

One of the few things that Ps William shared in the short sermon... Very practical!
Worry weighs a person down!
Worry consumes your time, affects your work, affects your entire life.
Worrying prevents you from reaching the potential Jesus has intended for you.

If you read the passage from Matthew 6:25, God does not just say Do not worry. He has a remedy! God says, "But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Now that's hope!

Instead of worrying (which you're inadvertently saying I dont know whether God can help me with this.), have faith! that God will see you through. It's mentioned in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

That's God's promise for you and I. Let's embrace it.

Let's walk in confidence. Philippians 3:13-14 Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

P.S. God, grant me a childlike faith.
