Many things to thank God for...
Thank God my fever subsided after last night's healthy vegetarian porridge.. Immediate effect! Took Flu and Cold Lemsip paracetamol satchet right after to play safe.... And the fever's gone way down down and down.... Still abit goggy though.. Then, the long-awaited runny nose and sneeze came... (I was asking myself why there wasnt symptoms like runny nose...)
Now that's what I call a full-blown viral infection! Cough plus fever plus runny nose plus sinusitis plus phlegm plus sneeze.... And the effect is felt worse during the first few days.. Nice.. =)
Thank God cos I just received an email from the med electives department saying my electives has been approved! It begins 26 Oct - 20 Nov... A great hint to when I'll be back!! Love it cos it means a full month back home for hols...
Hindsight, working in the paediatrics department which is not entirely related to what I've been studying.. the physical examinations which I learnt, was all done on adults.. Anyhow, God opened the door once again.. Another window of surprises and adventures.. Just blur blur follow.. Just as how I ended up in Brisbane :))
In all my life, "blur blur follow / go ahead" has caused me to be where I am today.. Now what I mean is, many times I didnt ponder too much but pray and when one door is opened and I feel God's peace, I just go ahead..
Ignorance is bliss when God led me through my illness in sec sch days.. And by the way, that's also how Christ came into my family.. An opportunity to go to church with my parents' full support.. For those who are concerned in this area, encourage you to continue praying and ask God to grant such opened doors and be specific in your prayer. =) My spiritual mentor, Mr David Chan (then my BB officer) prayed for me in Oct 1999 and 2 months later, I got Leukaemia.. Strangely, my parents' hearts were softened enough that I felt it was the right time to share with them about my conversion. By God's timely providence, Christ has arrived at my doorstep. *Detailed testimony in another post*
When I passed my GAMSAT and got accepted by UQ, I knew it was once again by God's grace.
When God cause doors to be opened, He also closes some. Almost immediately after I got this good news to study med, my then gf and I faced a strong test. BGR over thousands of kilometres and hours is no easy task. We tried, but we were not "growing" together. And soon, it ended. I felt sorry sometimes and asked myself whether I regret coming here.. But hey! When a BGR is meant not to be, anything else can break it, amen? Felt it was a timely phase that God has in place to put a stop to it, cos it was already becoming stagnant and no longer healthy.
Remember Matthew 6:33 - But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
For now, it's just about making new friends and in time, God will bring the right one. Amen! :))
Friends, let's continue to pray and seek God first in things we do, even regarding our needs and wants and ask God to provide when He wills it. God's peace be with us.
