God the healer of homesickness

Sent Raymond to Gold Coast Airport as he's going back to Msia for CNY celebration. I didnt get to see the Gold Coast though.. Probably another day.. It was a 1 hour drive to the airport. As I see him enter the gate, I wished I could be the one. First time spending CNY away from my family and friends. But thank God for friends in Brisbane to take some loneliness away =)

Went back to have Quiet Time with "Judah 6" (Life group name). It was a good time of singing "Turn your eyes upon Jesus....." Indeed, regardless the location and state of mind, we should focus on God. Nothing more impt, Amen?

During the 30min QT, God encouraged me to press on. In Luke 19 : 29, God revealed "I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life."

Nothing happens by chance.. The fact that God has allowed me to get through GAMSAT test, visa application (these are miracles) and brought me here safely with church friends on the first day, the Lord has been evident in His desires - to help me settle down quickly and concentrate on my degree.

I strongly believe I'll experience sth greater than just a degree. In His timing, it shall be revealed. Faith looks up! Chin up!

4 years!! and it's just the beginning.. (2 weeks only) It seems unreachable, but God told me to take small steps.

Year 1 looks good. Looking forward to seeing juan, mum, sis, bf and bro's arrival in April or May for a fine getaway in Brisbane.

Then, I'll be back on 8 June for 3 weeks stay!

4 months (July - Oct) in Brisbane and I might be flying back to SG to take elective at Tan Tock Seng Hospital on 26th Oct. This stay in SG stretches till Jan 2010!

God is gracious.

For now, I can only pray for my loved ones in Singapore and faith tells me God will take good care of all of them. At the end of 4 years, some might go, some might remain but God remains forever. Amen!

Just came back from Alvin and Jesse's place and I must say their house is super Singapore-ish! Felt as if I'm back in Singapore. Haha.. Anw, we ate the CNY goodies they brought back from Singapore, played card games like "Slamwich" and PS3 games. Then, the gals went into a room to polish their nails. Haha... funny... antisocial towards guys... boo... And each of us got an angbow from Alvin and Jesse. Thank you! =)

Aww... but i still miss home.. haha
